We have an exciting new vacancy for a Business Development Assistant responsible for providing support to the Head of Business Development and the Business Development Team in the implementation of the Group’s business development strategy.

Key responsibilities & duties will include:
• Researching and identifying relevant events and brands to approach. This will be through intelligence passed to the department, media and internet research and personal contact.
• Ensuring the Business Development Team are aware of forthcoming events at the appropriate lead time.
• Reviewing all identified opportunities with the Head of Business Development.
• Approaching prospects to establish the correct point of contact and decision maker for Business Development Team.
• Producing reports to identify lapsed customers, spending patterns etc as required by the Head of Business Development.
• Taking ownership of maintenance of the Group’s CRM System, incorporating all data input and reporting.
• Supporting and contributing to the Group’s overall business development strategy.
Skills and qualities required:
• Previous experience within a sales or business development environment would be desirable.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to deliver against targets.
• Strong IT skills – Microsoft office, Excel.
• Experience of using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
• Strong team player.
• Ability to think strategically and to convey ideas effectively to others.
• Ability to prioritise and cope with a demanding workload.
