We have an exciting new vacancy for a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will be responsible for generating new business through market growth and generating new customer relationships primarily in the Corporate Event and TV industries.

Key responsibilities & duties will include:
• Responsible for a revenue target, to be achieved by new sales generation & maintenance and retention of existing customers.
• Identifying new prospects and successfully creating opportunities to present the Group’s capabilities.
• Responding to qualified leads, produced by market intelligence and pre-sales activity.
• Taking an active involvement in new business generation, credentials pitches and closing key new accounts and events.
• Working closely with Account Managers to follow up quotations raised and opportunities identified to close sales.
• Contributing to compiling annual budgets.
• Identifying customers showing significant growth and target to support and build.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key individuals and major clients, professionally and socially.
• Identifying potential developments to PRG’s ‘offer’ to meet the customer additional needs.
Skills and qualities required
• A proven sales track record, with history of successful business to business selling in a technical or service environment, where quality is the driving factor.
• Working to objectives and targets with full accountability for results and actions.
• Charismatic and engaging with the ability to interact with customers and event production professionals in both formal and informal situations
• Quick thinking, highly numerate and eloquent.
• Ability to apply traditional sales methodology and experience in an environment and industry accustomed to a less formal or structured sales approach.
• Able to present with confidence, passion and conviction in small and large groups.
• Experience of responding to RFPs and compiling and submitting tender documentation would be an advantage.
• Full driving licence and the ability to travel, sometimes at short notice.
• Highly IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills, with exceptional organisational skills.
