The focus on growth within the UK business has created an exciting new vacancy for a Head of Business Development. Reporting to the UK CEO and the CSO for the EAA region you will take overall responsibility for growing revenue through proactive selling and managing a small, focussed specialist sales team. You will also provide sales direction to 15 UK Account Managers.

Responsibilities and duties will include:
• Leading and managing the Business Development Team, ensuring the delivery of revenue targets.
• Taking an active involvement in new business generation, credential pitches and closing key new accounts and events.
• Taking responsibility for working with Account Managers to follow up quotations raised and opportunities identified.
• Reporting to the Senior Management Team monthly with sales activities and progress against targets.
• Establishing annual budgets for revenue, by market sector, Account Manager and territory.
• Exploring new markets for production services.
• Monitoring and assessing the Company’s competitive positioning through maintaining and analysing information on competitors.
• Identifying customers showing significant growth and target to support and build.
• Providing overall management of CRM system and monitoring of Business Development data, leads, opportunities and intelligence.
• Encouraging and building strong relationships with key individuals and major clients, professionally and socially.
• Capture knowledge on the market, customers and competitors through developing information and intelligence from Project and Operation Managers.
• Identifying potential developments to PRG’s ‘offer’ to meet the customer additional needs.
• Provide feedback to UK and Global Marketing departments on branding, web sites, marketing requirements etc.
Qualities & Skills:
• A proven team leader, with a demonstrable ability to provide leadership and direction to a dedicated specialist team.
• Charismatic and engaging individual with the ability to interact with customers and event production professionals in both formal and informal situations.
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of commercial, business and financial acumen.
• Quick thinking, self motivated, articulate and eloquent.
• The ability to apply traditional sales methodology and experience in an environment and industry accustomed to a less formal or structured sales approach.
• Experience of responding to RFPs and compiling and submitting tender documentation.
• Ability to agree and set the objectives of the team with Senior Management and to fulfil and exceed these objectives.
• Strategic thinker with clear ability to identify, appraise and implement new ideas and approaches for developing revenue and profitability of the business.
• Full valid driving licence and the ability to travel, sometimes at short notice.
